Sissi history

Hotel Sissi was named after Elisabeth, the Austrian Empress and Hungarian Queen, wife of Franz Joseph II. Queen Sissi's contribution to the Austrian Hungarian friendship was significant. She often visited Hungary with pleasure, especially in the Royal Castle of Gödöllő. She was said to be the most beautiful woman and the best female horse-rider of her age. She was named Sissi by her husband, and now Hotel Sissi bears her name.
